“Because of the incredible interest in iPhone 4, today was the busiest online sales day in AT&T history. As of Tuesday afternoon, customers who preorder iPhone 4 moving forward will receive their device on June 25 or later, depending on when the order is placed. We’ll e-mail customers with confirmation once their order is placed, and again when it ships. In addition, we will have devices available on a first-come, first-serve basis in our stores beginning on June 24.

Great idea, TUAW!
Devs: almost 60% of the respondents would use iAD in their free apps
I’m skipping advertising entirely in my apps 207 (11.1%) I am planning to use a different ad provider — assuming Apple lets me 55 (2.9%) I’m going into iAds tentatively to see how things go 260 (13.9%) I’m jumping into iAds with both feet, and am planning to add iAds across my apps.
This the best thing in news for iPad lately.
The same perfect functionality as for iPhone, but better graphics and better ergonomics.
Go download!

In 1987 Dr. Beverly Crusher used a castor / salt dispenser for a medical sci-fi tool of diagnosis.
Today, I’m looking at the iPad, Mac Book Air and iPhone 4 when I’m really relaxed and I wonder: these are extremely beautiful toys. I still don’t believe they can also compute!
Nobody thought, till WWDC, how the human eye works! Nobody! At least none of us, geeks. All we knew was a game has a decent resolution if HD, and a phone has to be at least VGA.
Now we are talking about human visual perception, asking specialists and calculate focal distances, as if it’s a matter of life and death.
Actually, the whole focus lies on constant trial to prove Steve Jobs a liar, or at least wrong.
Please find below what people usually call a “reality distortion field”…
In my opinion, all three companies are innovative, efficient, state of the art technology (MS is still under consideration, though); the only missing thing to Google and Microsoft is what’s called “steve”. They don’t have steve.
Do you guess what a “steve” is? It’s a “reality distortion field”, of course!
Google got officially transformed into a verb. Is your vocabulary allowing a noun, too?

Computerworld Blogs reads (and gets retwitted by FSecure):
”
After three years as a loyal iPhone user, I’m thinking about making the switch to a phone running Google Android. I’m looking for something new, Android is looking good nowadays, and Apple’s creepy corporate culture is wearing me down. ”
I would like to see these rookies following up the story, after the switch…
‘Cause, man, I’m looking right now at both an iOS and an Android and there is now coming back from iPhone, unless you’re somehow associating it with your drunk, child beating father…
What would you say about … 75% of all the iPhones being hacked?
It’s just a shot in the dark, nevermind…

Possible Apple’s commercial errors that lead to such a high rate of iPad hack:
1. Initial international appstore release, not only U.S., would have made possible for outside U.S. customers to actually use the device (having full apps content available) as it was, instead of being forced to go for Installous.
2. iPad apps price set lower from the beginning, instead of 2-10 times higher than iPhone’s; that discouraged a lot of people and made everybody either wait for price decrease or go for Installous
http://metrics.admob.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/05/AdMob-Country-Data-April-2010.xlsx
There are lots of ipads outside official countries. Which means almost all of them have been hacked, as in April Apple had only the main AppStores up, which meant no access of any type to apps from outside U.S..
Is that 38 % of outside U.S. ipad Internet signatures all from hacked iPads?!
TechCrunch was writing back in 2009 about the main concerns of Apple moving iTunes to the cloud:
1. Security
“Now, this idea is so obvious that it has to be coming, right? Well, there are obviously some concerns as well. First, security. The music labels and television and movie studios would want assurances from Apple that no one could “game the system” and get access to content for free. With iTunes in the cloud, Apple would likely have to partially rework the 5 computers-at-a-time system for iTunes that it uses right now (for DRM content), but something similar would probably be intact.

“Most companies, seeing their competitors already doing something, would feel forced into releasing their own solution as quickly as possible. Not Apple. And I suspect this ends up being a big benefit for the users.”

“Still, if we haven’t seen a friend or loved one in a long time, does it really matter if the quality isn’t perfect? What’s more important to you – being able to make the video call and getting a glimpse of your baby boy or wife, or doing so only under the most optimal and perfect conditions only?”
I’ve seen this before; it’s called “crappy video call over 3G” and had zero addoption rate for exactely such a crappy quality.
